Outside Sales Representative – Construction Equipment Rentals

BC Rentals, BC’s longest established and most respected equipment rentals, sales and service provider currently has an opportunity for an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our Marketing and Sales Team based out of our Richmond Head Office location.

Responsibilities in this position include:

Identifying and securing profitable new business opportunities through the following avenues:

  • Cold calling followed by visiting prospective customers on-site.
  • Following up project and other related business leads.
  • Establishing, maintaining and developing customer relationships by first identifying and then providing solutions to customers needs.
  • Collaborating with co-workers and other departments in a team orientated environment.
  • Following through direction from management.

Applicants must be currently working within the construction equipment rental sector or in a related role and possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Exceptional customer service & communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including that of being an active listener.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Enthusiastic, optimistic, proactive and can-do attitude.
  • Empathy and integrity with a willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in negotiations with excellent problem solving skills.
  • Excellent planning, prioritizing, organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Lower Mainland.

  • Mechanical skills or aptitude.
  • Current Clean Class 5 Drivers Licence.

Excellent remuneration and benefits package including: Base Salary and Commission, Use of a Company Vehicle, Medical/Dental Care, Extended Health Care and Life Insurance.

Base salary of $45,000-$65,000 plus commission. Anticipated earnings of $120,000.00-$150,000.00.

Driver/Yardperson

BC Rentals is currently seeking a Driver/Yardperson based between our Vancouver & Richmond stores.
Primary duties include delivery of a wide range of industrial, construction and aerial equipment throughout the Lower Mainland, together with checking in equipment and assisting in any other areas of our business as directed.

Applicant should possess:

Clean Class 5 License
Experience in the safe operation of a wide range of trucks including slide/recovery deck with both manual and automatic transmissions and the towing of mobile equipment.
Mechanical aptitude or skills preferred
Team player
Safe driving record
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent geographical knowledge of the Lower Mainland
Smart appearance and physically fit
Self-motivated

Excellent remuneration and benefits package with no overnights.
Normal hours of operation 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

Adminstrative/Office Assistant

BC Rentals, BC’s longest established and most respected equipment rental, sales and service provider, has a career opportunity in the position of Administrative/Office Assistant, based out of our head office in Richmond BC.

Responsibilities in this position cover a wide range of administrative and general office duties including data collection/entry, accounts receivable, and providing support to other departments and colleagues as required.

The successful applicant will possess the following demonstrable skills and experience:
• Minimum 2 years administrative/general office experience.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication (written and oral) skills.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and assertive.
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines with a high degree of quality and accuracy.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
• Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word and ideally QuickBooks.
• Team player.

Consideration may also be given to a Higher Education Graduate who demonstrates the necessary abilities and drive to succeed in this position.

Excellent remuneration for this position. $35K-45K based upon skills and experience together with Medical/Dental Care, Extended Health Care and Life Insurance.
Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am until 3:30pm.
Casual Dress and on street parking.
