Class 3 Driver

BC Rentals, BC’s longest established and most respected equipment rental, sales and service provider, currently has an opportunity for an experienced Class 3 Driver to join our team of industry professionals.

The majority of time will involve driving a tandem axle rollback equipment carrier or smaller commercial vehicles as required. Primary duties include delivery and retrieval of a wide range of industrial, construction and aerial equipment throughout the Lower Mainland.

Applicants should have excellent customer service skills and possess demonstrable experience and knowledge in the following areas:

  •  Operation of a tandem axle truck with manual transmission and air brakes ideally within the equipment rental, sales or related industries
  • Operation of a wide range of mobile and aerial equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude or skills
  • Excellent geographical knowledge of lower mainland
  • Safe driving record
  • Team Player
  • Self-motivated
  • Smart appearance and physically fit

Possession of a Class 1 license together with experience of operating a semi-truck and trailer combination would be an asset to provide for vacation cover/absence of Company Class 1 drivers at which point Class 1 driver rate would apply.

Excellent remuneration and benefits package with overtime available and no overnights. Normal hours of operation are 7:00AM-5:00PM Monday through Friday.

Accounting and Administrative Assistant

BC Rentals, BC’s longest established and most respected equipment rental, sales, and service provider, currently has an opportunity for an experienced Accounting and Administrative Assistant to join our team based at our Richmond Head Office location.

Primary duties include:

  •  Accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, credit account applications and credit limits
  • QuickBooks entries and financial statement preparation
  • Maintain general ledger, post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Prepare weekly management reports and other reports as required
  • Prepare cheque runs
  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy and ensure proper customer billings
  • Manage accounts receivable to ensure on-time collections from customers
  • Liaise with operational staff, external IT department, and outside accountants
  • Enter and prepare payment for all utility bills and expense reports
  • Ensure all filing deadlines are met and all reporting requirements fulfilled
  • All other duties as required

The successful applicant will possess the following demonstrable skills and experience:

  • Accounts receivable, collections and payable
  • Experienced in QuickBooks, MS Office, and Excel
  • Financial reporting and budgetary planning
  • Ability to quickly learn both the day-to-day operations of our business and that of our customers’ requirements
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent analytical abilities with high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Self-motivated with positive attitude
  • Valid driving license and transportation as public transit is not available

Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field considered an asset as would familiarity within the equipment, construction, or related industries.

Hours of this position are Monday through Friday 8:00AM till 4:30PM

Mechanic

B.C. Rentals, BC’s longest established equipment rental and sales company currently has a career opportunity for an experienced Mechanic to join our team of dedicated technical professionals based at our Operations Centre in Richmond, B.C.

Duties will include maintenance and repair of a wide and diverse range of equipment, including aerial work platforms – boom and scissor lifts, forklifts, skid steer loaders, excavators and other industrial and construction related equipment, both on site and in the field.

The ideal candidate will have experience within the equipment rental and sales or related industries, although consideration may be given to mechanics who can demonstrate that their particular skills and experience would closely match those required for this position.
